Broken rib and an AC separation. I was worried about a clavicle…ribs can be tricky but a lot of times it’s almost purely pain mgmt after a few weeks (depending on the break). Gonna depend on how that shoulder feels…hopefully sooner than later but probably out for a while longer than we want.
Source?
Onlyu’s information has been accurate, and often times before any other source. Perhaps we don’t want to know. Just keep enjoying the priveleged info.
Does he qualify for a medical redshirt at this point? By the time he’s healthy enough to play, I think we’ll already be out of contention for the South and looking to be bowl eligible. A redshirt might be the smartest play.
I don’t think so, less than 3 games.
You know we have a bye this week right?
Yes I do. I still imagine he’ll be out until at least Washington St. There’s a very good possibility we’re 5-4 at that point.
Even though we have 4 winnable games in that stretch?
Weve never lost to Stanford and this is their worst team we’ve faced and our best team they’ve faced?
And Troy beat UCLA and ASU last year.
And Oregon is a winnable game.
And Whitt is a great coach.
But yeah, 5-4.
Oh, and Troy beat USC last year. But yeah we suck.
Right.
UW needed OT to beat Arizona in last year’s opener. Not saying we are going to the CFP, or that the situation is the same, but just a reminder for perspective.
It sucks that last night was so ugly, and so many injuries, but AZ is good and they wanted to win that game.
I would argue that Joe Williams beat UCLA last year, but your point remains – we won a lot of games with Troy at QB last year.
Yeah Joe had an okay game against UCLA last year.
What about our first 4 games makes you feel we will beat USC, Oregon, UCLA or Stanford?
Yeah with this o-line and no running game, 5-4 with Williams accuracy is likely.
The fact that this is Kyle Whittingham football and we get better and we win 9 games every year. It’s the same thing every year.
Our defense is better than last year.
Troy is the same at worst.
We were 5-1 without Joe Williams including a win over USC.
We have Carrington now.
We have Harding. The OL will improve every week.
We aren’t a playoff contender and won’t win the PAC-12. But we aren’t in danger of missing a bowl either.
The above link says up to 12 weeks recovery time but that will vary based on severity. He’s an incredible athlete and we will be giving him the best treatment possible, but still.
Throwing arm? I say you shut him down and I agree with Williams you still have a chance to win some games.
I see you conveniently left out “a few days”
Again we don’t know how severe it is. The reference says a few days to 12 weeks. Another one I read gave an upper limit of six weeks for a lower grade strain.
Do you know what grade of separation it was???
