  of the institution of the 4 game redshirt rule can retroactively apply it to a season preceding the rule. Tyler Huntley appeared in 4 games as a freshman and by far the most he played was 8 plays in the bowl game.

  i had the same thought. It would help his draft stock as well if he could get two years of health and consistency.
