I havent seen anything(twitter etc) that would indicate he isnt solid anymore. If he were going to open up his recruitment I would think he would have done it by now. He will have an opportunity to win the job next year, just like Huntley had this year. As much as I like Huntley(and his potential), there isnt anything that he has done that would guarantee a starting spot next year. Most other major schools have a top QB commit or had one last year. Im assuming he will sign early and be here in January.
