Non-Utah game impact: Oregon’s loss to ASU in 2019

  Had Oregon won that game, worse case scenario for Utah was going to the Rose Bowl despite losing the P12 championship game. I couldn’t care less about the Ducks or Scum Devils, but I still get mad about this game. Granted, we controlled our destiny but it was a stupid, late-season loss for Oregon. Has any other non-Utah game had a bigger impact on our season’s/program’s trajectory?

  ASU’s loss to Oregon in 2018. Had it gone the other way, Utah doesn’t win the south. That would have impacted recruiting and possibly Zack Moss’s decision to return for his senior season.

  That was really depressing. Utah and Oregon were both playing in Arizona that weekend. If both had taken care of business, we would have been in the Rose Bowl in the worst case scenario.
