What are the scenarios that determine our Rose Bowl opponent?

Isn’t it between Ohio State, Michigan and Iowa?

If Iowa beats Michigan, we’ll get Iowa.  If they don’t, then the Wolverines will go to the CFP, and Utah will draw the next highest ranked BigTen team — which will be Ohio St.

There are no scenarios where we get Michigan.

Who would you say we match up better with? I’ve watched Ohio State a few times and I think they would be a nightmare in the throw game. I don’t think I’ve watched Iowa.

Ohio State is elite offensively, and would be a very difficult match up for Utah.

Iowa is a very good team, but not elite. Good defense, likes to run the the ball. They are very similar to Utah, actually. 

Iowa would give us a greater chance of victory, IMO. But I personally want Ohio State. I want the best opponent even if the probability of victory is lower.

Ohio State definitely better than Oregon. Just as Utah better than San Diego state, BYU and Oregon State right now. They are just as scared of the Utes. I’ve never seen a Utah team as ferocious as this one. Ever

Doesn’t matter because Iowa is contractually bound to the Rose Bowl as the conference champ.

No, it’s between Iowa if they win tonight, and OSU, because they’re the highest rated team left after a 12-1 UM goes to the playoff.  Two choices. We’re most likely to get the Buckeyes.
