Jim hit on a great schtick back in the early 90s. I remember when he was literally the pimp in the box in a tiny studio in the mall above an Orange Julius. He was just a local sports guy. He was obnoxious to his callers, and my roommate at the time called him at once a week to talk about the Bruins. But even back then he was a very good interviewer.
