I got up there late, maybe just after 8 pm. They had already shut down access to the inside events, so I just sat in the stands watching the crowds milling around. Kudos for the bottles of water at the fifty yard lines. Pretty much a non-event. Looking forward to the first game to see what’s up with the 2025 Utes.

I completely missed it too. I feel it wasn’t advertised well like it has been in the past.

It would seem so. I wouldn’t have missed it, but I never saw it promoted.

Soooo, I have the Utah Tickets app, which then required me to use Tickemaster… Is Utah Tickets no longer used?

No, the Utah tickets app is no longer used. You need the utah360 app. When you login there’s a dropdown on the top left where ‘manage tickets’ is an option. At that point you’ll need to login to your paciolan account to see them.

Other than Rising spending two years learning Ludwig’s offense in the booth prior to the 2021 season, when has KW as a head coach made developing a backup QB at Utah for the future a priority? There was never a QB plan B for Rising’s last season after Barnes left. As for Wilson, I expect we’ll see a more confident, improved QB coached up by Beck. Wilson doesn’t need to do everything Dampier is allegedly going to do. Wilson is more than capable of not making mistakes, running the offense with all the support cast in place. My biggest concern is once again KW not letting Beck do his job running off another OC.

But Wilson tried to bolt and what happened with that?

At this point, if that’s a Whitt decision, then I prefer him retire now than hang around to do more harm than good to the program. There’s a quote out there, “Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.” That’s Whitt’s philosophy in a nutshell. He’s not doing the team or Wilson any favors if he offered Wilson QB2 to get him out of the portal. I seriously doubt that and think it’s more Wilson didn’t have any takers and was forced to return to Utah, and this time, NIL didn’t force Whitt to given in to his demands. Wilson has earn it now without being given to him on a silver platter. Whitt’s Utah coaching mantra, “we don’t adapt to you, you adapt to us” mentality is not true! We all know Whitt bent the knee to Wilson last year to not only bring him to Utah but forced Whitt to play him in every game when he wasn’t ready. IMO, they’d like people to believe they religiously practice that Utah mantra, but c’mon if we are honest with it, we know that doesn’t hold a lot of weight when your desperately trying to lure top recruits to Utah, especially offensive players!

Totally agree on the Rose situation! Whitt just poorly judged his QB room and Rose ability to carry the team. He had no faith in Rose and didn’t give him a chance until Wilson got injured and then had no choice but to play Rose in the BYU game and Rose proved him wrong! Unfortunately, Rose got injured in the 2nd half of that game and didn’t play the reason of the season. But I agree, Rose wasn’t treated fairly or given a shot by Whitt or the coaching staff. Very disappointing!

Same, especially since Isaac Wilson has recent history of being given the job, instead of earning it.
