You guys nailed it: there aren’t any teams in the BigXII (including TDS) that I am excited to beat. I’m bummed that the feeling I got with those absolute wars with USC will never happen again. Also, we spent all winter stressed out about what players were going to get poached away from us. At some point, instead of whining, I’m just going to go away.

Miami, if you get an opportunity, you should consider a halibut fishing excursion up there. It was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done (and I’m not a fisherman). My wife had an absolute blast too. If you like halibut, you can have it shipped home (for a nominal fee).

I’ve never so glad for “quiet time” with the Utes. It seems like we spend several weeks hoping we don’t lose players to the transfer portal… good times.

I hate BYU for many reasons, but buying players isn’t one of them. They’re just playing the game. Yet another of the long list of items pushing me away from college athletics.

In interesting side-effect of this whole NIL and transfer portal nightmare is the impossibility to predict how good a team is going to be (at least for me anyway). There are a bunch of patchwork teams out there that we just have no idea how well they’re going to gel and play as a team. I’d hate to be Phil Steele trying to keep track of all of this stuff.

Any program not in the Big Ten or SEC is headed in the wrong direction. We may just be one of the many examples of that.

Isn’t Pepperdine sort of small school with a big program (sort of like Gonzaga in hoops)?

Sorry to see the loss of a valuable poster. The techniques you describe here, Tony, work awesome. A few years I ago I finally put a dude on ignore and it made my UteHub world a much more peaceful place. Personally, I like everyone’s input, even the ones I don’t agree with. It helps round my perspective.

It’s still doing it, but I’ve learned that if I scroll by hitting the sides of the screen that I can navigate it better without this issue being so obtrusive. I’ll keep using the app, but it would awesome if they fixed it one day. Thanks for your willingness to attack an app issue with reckless abandon.

Tony! Have you had a chance to review JMotz’ issue that he explained above? I use Android and am having the same issue, and to be honest, I’m about ready to scrap the app and go back to the online version of UteHub. That issue makes scrolling posts really hard…
