Well, Eason just declared.  At least 4 Oregon defensive underclassmen submitted for evals from the NFL and Herbert.  The entire Arizona State rushing attack declared for the draft and a new OC is coming in.  Pittman and crew are headed to the league and the QB battle will extend into the season knowing Helton.

My point is there is no need to paint this bleak picture for next season.  The Utes, like every other team in this conference, are not static.  Other teams are dealing with personal turnover, coaching turnover, etc.  This is where trajectory comes into things.  And from a trajectory standpoint Utah and Oregon are the clear front runners in the conference.  I have no idea where the “winning the South” ceiling came from but it seems to be all the rage in yesterday’s thread, but like the November curse I guess that is the next hump in the development of the program.

Kinda funny the way things work; you could nail signing day with a bunch of “5” star kids . But the downside, is they’re not hanging around for 5 years ; timing is essential. Case in point; could you imagine Clark playing with Jaylon next season; would have loved to have seen that

      Eason declaring doesn’t make sense.

Actually it does, this is a Christian Hackenberg situation.  Eason is hoping the teams pay the “speculation rate” because of the tangibles.  If he stayed, the teams may actually find out that he is broken beyond repair and he loses out on the 2nd round money he will make.

Wilner tweeted that UW’s qb next year will be Costello from Stanford.
