Is that Harding is not a P5 online coach. This isn’t Arm chair an either. I’ve seen this show for 7 seasons now. During that time we’ve had plenty of starting NFL O lineman. Young and old. And the results are always the same.
1. Decent run block
2. god awful pass pro
3. and In the biggest games against similar or equal talent or greater. We get our s**t handed to us. See Oregon and Texas last year.
conisistent is Harding. Same story every year. Most coaches on Utah’s staff improve. Harding stays exactly the same. GET RID OF HIM.
Oline missed wide open players, caused turnovers, threw into double coverage and didn’t step up into a pocket?
Bentley is a Pro Style QB, not Utah’s traditional dual threat. The Oline not creating a pocket for a Pro Style QB results in throwing into double coverage, missing wide open players, turnovers, etc…
That Freshman kid for Washington stepped up into pockets and got tagged. Bentley would run down field and get smeared like dog s**t on my boot. Freshman kid knew what his job was and performed.
Bad hits and making plays completely different for each team.
I could go through the plays where the O-line played like Dogs**t. But,I’m not going to hate on the kids. As I said in my post. This is bigger than the UW or SC game. We have 7 years of data with the same result every year.It doesnt matter if we are old or young. Hell, the O-line was supposed to be the strength of this team this year. Harding is way over his head. Ultimately Whitt needs to bring down the hammer and stop with this loyalty nonsense when it clearly hasn’t been working.
There is only one starting senior on the OL. And a second on the 2-deep. That’s it. Sophomores and Red-Shirt Freshmen, really.
Their average recruiting rank is lower than both UW and USC’s D-Line recruiting rankings too. Just an observation.
