Jittery – getting a ‘2015 #3 Utah vs unranked 3-3 USC’ vibe for tomorrow’s game

  This year’s team is far more talented and deep than the 2015 team, but can’t stop feeling anxious about tomorrow’s game. Obviously, this reflects more on me and my worrisome personality than our team or their capabilities.

  What is weird to me is I feel more confident in the Offense than the defense. Which hasn’t been the case in the Whittingham era.
  
  Florida specifically I don’t know how they cover the Tight ends Utah has. Kuithe is just that good. Also the Utah rushing attack is very good. Plus you cap it off with Rising who just may be on the verge of playing himself into the first round? Rising has wheels and can extend plays with the best of them.
  
  But we saw amazing offense isnt enough (See Rose Bowl). I am worried most about the defense. Plus in the back of my mind a special teams mistake like last year:Utah will lose.

    Agreed. Not too long ago, scoring 28-30 points almost guaranteed a victory — our defenses have been that good. Same with the Ray Guy award-winning punters and 50+ yard FG kickers. These things were the norm.

  Honestly my nerves are a lot less than they were before the Rose Bowl. A majority of these guys went toe to toe with tOSU(who will most likely end up in the playoff) just 8 months ago. They’ve had all of spring and fall camps to prepare for this game. I don’t think we are going to blow them out. But I do think our boys know how to prepare for a big game on a big stage. I think they handle business tomorrow.
