I’ve said this before, but I spend far too much money and too much time on college football (college athletics in general) to not be fully invested in it. When I get to your place, I’ll give up my tickets, my viewership, and my time talking about it.

Move to the P12 with those teams? I’d fire everyone associated with that decision on the spot — the President, the AD, the Associate AD’s, their spouses, kids, aunts and uncles — everyone would have to go.

That is such an interesting question because there’s no unquestionably correct answer. I like Ohtani’s 50/50 accomplishment a little better than Acuna’s 70/40. Stolen bases is mostly a God given talent – raw speed. Once the runner identifies the signs to steal, then it becomes mostly academic as there’s not much a catcher can do, even with a…[Read more]

This board really has eclipsed UFN in every way. Sadly, UFN has become the definition of a sh**show. Cougarboard has to be a better board than Cougarstadium though, right? Can’t imagine it is worse.
Keep up the good work Tony!

Not necessarily arguing about JJ, but, Micah is holding his own through four games this season. He’s the B12 leading rusher with 456 yards averaging 6.9 per carry. JJ is the leading SEC rusher through four games with 472 yards and 6.8 per carry. Perhaps you can argue that JJ is getting into the end zone and Micah is not. Theyre both tearing it…[Read more]

So, pretty much dead even, but will have to overcome their home field advantage. Promises to be a tough, tough game.

No kidding. Any return to a P12 version without Oregon/Washington or USC/UCLA would be a dereliction of duty by the administration and get Harlan & Randall fired on the spot, and deservedly so. Once Oregon and Washington jumped we basically had the P12 Conference mentioned above, and Arizona, ASU and Utah couldn’t get out of it fast enough.

I invest far too much time and money to be casual about it. If I didn’t care about the B12, I’d be out. I watched a bunch of B12 yesterday and looking forward to the conference games. OSU, Baylor, TCU, BYU, the old P12 teams — even Iowa State. Yeah, I’m not on the same page as you — I’m pumped.

And if you like other sports like baseball, softball, LAX, volleyball and soccer then get it. I think it’s a bargain and far more comprehensive than the P12N.

The humidity in Big12 country is no joke. Nothing takes a toll like humidity. Just like sea level teams playing at high elevation is no joke. Both are an effective home field advantage.

OmahaOmaha replied to the topic My subjective pre-season grades by position group in the forum Football 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Fun game. From my perspective an “A” is a nationally elite group, and an A- is an elite group in conference. It goes down from there. I kind of think an “I” is a copout so I’m gonna take a stab at each group even with incomplete information. Here goes.
QB A- for the same reason you gave. Let’s see how he comes off two major surgeries. If he…[Read more]

Although an unpopular opinion, I think your comment has merit. Here’s where I place my hope in an improved running game this season.
1. A healthy Cam should alleviate some of the pressure from the QB play we got last year. It wasn’t that hard to gameplan for Utah. Stop the run. The QB play ain’t that elite. This year is quite the opposite.…[Read more]

I think most of the difficulties have been mentioned – OSU and AZ back to back, then the long flight to UCF on a short week.
There’s always the “trap” game, although we won’t know who it is till the season gets underway. In 22 it would’ve been TCU and in 23 it would’ve been WVU. Someone will outperform their preseason prediction, but who? I…[Read more]
