Where do people park for home games? My usual spot decided to start charging more than usual

Usually I park on my couch because I don’t have tickets. When I do have tickets, I get there early and park in the neighborhoods west of the stadium.

Trolley Square and then take the trax.

A fun way to do it is park in the neighborhoods south of 8th south and then walk through the main tailgate lot on the way to the stadium. You can check out all the crazies. Oh, wait… I’m in that lot. 🙂

For years we parked south of Sunnyside and had a nice healthy walk to the stadium, passing by the Utah tailgating areas as well as the pre-game areas for the visiting fans (fun to wave my flag and exchange friendly banter as we passed the visitors).  But the walk got longer and healthier and my father got older so we just take trax now.

This one is fun… I usually park in the LDS Church parking lot on Sunnyside Ave right by Sunnyside park. However, that is only if I leave early, I would suggest getting to the parking lot there an hour and half early at least. If that is full I then park on Le Grand St or 1900 East. If you plan to park close to the stadium, just make sure to get up there to park at least an hour or so before kickoff.

Back when attendance was low, that church was our preferred place to park, but through the years, started filling up completely well before the game.
