Whoever decides these p12poy awards are not too fond of Utah

  I still don’t know how Gionni didnt win dpoy and Delon was easily the most inpactful player the year he was robbed of poy (lotta numbers back this up, big time). And now our gymnast who won the weekly award 7 out of 10 weeks was snubbed. How can you be no 1 in conf 7 out of 10 weeks, be the far and away no 1 gymnast on the champ, and not be gymnast of the year?

  For real. She’s ranked #2 in the nation in the all-around! 7 Gymnast of the Week awards, 6 Freshman of the Week awards…and she loses to Kaytianna McMillan (who had 2) and Kyla Ross (who had 2) respectively.
  
  So much disrespect from this conference. Let’s not even go into the bump down to the Vegas Bowl.

  Delon was “easily” the most impactful player? IMO Joseph Young deserved the award, and he proved it in the tournament against Utah. I may be wrong, but claiming Delon easily deserved it is biased as hell.

      Stats aren’t Everything. Young took that game over and won it for his team. He did that throughout the season. Delon had the same opportunity and couldn’t capitalize like Young.

  I was at the meet. There was a lot of disrespect going on. Besides the snubs for gymnast and new comer of the year, UCLA were rude to our girls. Watch the awards ceremony video. All the teams came onto the mat and straddle sat in a row facing forward. UCLC turned their backs to Utah and faced to the side. They were awful yesterday and should not have even tied for third. Their 10 score was a gift. It has to be even worse with all the coaches colluding against Skinner, you could not snub her like that with any kind of intellectual honesty. Sad, she deserved it and more importantly earned it, and any unbiased person would clearly have to admit that. Utes were well represented, we should be proud of them and I think they will do well going on from here.
