The second half was what I was hoping this team would look like all year. I’m trying not to get too excited, as I still think we are a 6-6/5-7 team, but it was nice to see us finally do what we should have to arguably the worst team in the South.

A couple players that really stood out to me were Tauteoli and Huntley. Tauteoli played out of his mind and really seemed to set the tone for the rest of the defense. Huntley continues to impress me with the way he seems to lead the offense. He doesn’t get down on himself and he’s not afraid to get into his teammates faces if they screw up. I like that. When is the last time we had a QB that had that personality? Maybe Brian Johnson? I really do think Huntley could end up being great by the time he leaves.

One other promising thing that I noticed last night is how well our receivers are playing. They definitely have some things to work on but it was only a few years ago that we were watching our receivers drop everything thrown their way. We may end up having the best overall talent at WR the next few years that we have had in a long time.

I keep telling myself that this is a rebuild season. It hasn’t helped keep me calm the last two weeks but at least I’ve tried. The next 3 weeks could be rough, but we are still young. Next year should be fun!

First quarter was boring and the crowd was frustrated.  The last two drives of the first half and the 2nd half that changed.  It was loud and exciting.  Utah played great and the coaching was noticeably better after that.  Hopefully things are starting to come together and that continues into the last 3 games.
