To the thumbs downer, did we win the BCS championship? No. It was bull s**t sure but we didn’t win that. We shouldn’t hang a banner.

Also, in the NCAA’s eyes, they are equal, if we want to be technical. What BCS title did BYU win?

The NCAA doesn’t support/back any titles in football.

there were poll champions, then bcs champions. our “new” 2008 title is just as valid as the zoo’s 1984 title.

No. If it were the AP that ranked us #1 then there’s at least a championship argument that’s not embarrassing… except everyone knows that’s not how titles were awarded during the BCS era, so even that still smells desperate. Making a banner because ONE component of a formula…….??? Just no.

Painful to swallow 30+ years on, but the zoobs’ title is legit.

Legit or not, not all championships are created equal. Utah 08 had the resume of a champion. BYU-P 84 did not.

      Challenged with the link posting?

What I’ve found, is that when links are posted from the “front page” (or whatever page has the most recent posts on it) they don’t always format correctly. Especially with twitter or youtube links.

So I’ll post the links, then click “open”, then delete the link and paste it back in again and save and it works. It only seems to work for me from the other “edit” page or if I go into the forum, scroll the bottom and enter the link in there.

        Hope that helps.

To post twitter or youtube, you just post the URL on its own line. For other links you use the link dialog.

yeah, even when I do that on the homepage, I always have to go into the edit page and do it again for it to embed.
