My perception is that an 18 year old with that polished a persona on social media may either have a paid consultant or super helicopter parents. Some parents in sports are nuts. I have no idea if that is the case here, but the coaching staff handled staffing right. Save the star while he gets reps, and have Shelley back up Huntley. That said, from Spring, Shelley outplayed him and has already spent his redshirt year.
I hope it’s not correct. I hope the factual assumptions on which this post is based are wrong. I’d love to cheer him as a starter in two years.
If this is Tuttle taking his toys and going home because he couldn’t beat out Huntley, then good luck and good riddance. He looked good but kids should not expect or give ultimatums on PT halfway through a true frosh year. Don’t expect you to agree.
