    Like I’ve said before. Learning to not fumble a ball is incredibly easy to teach/learn. Booker had a horrible time holding onto the ball at one point in his career and then became one of the most reliable RB’s in the country at limit fumbles/carries.

      It feels like Utah has more playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. Going into last season it was very much Booker’s offense. I didn’t feel like they had a backup plan after that. Utah did lose some depth at tight end and that really made things worst as well. Fakailoatonga is a special player and I am excited to see him and Repp line up. This is the third year of hype for Patrick so I hope he can stay healthy.
      
      It really will come down to how well Williams can take hold of this offense.

        Pease in his interview on ESPN 700 said that Tim Patrick was nearly unstoppable in practice. I really hope that dude is healthy and ready to go this year. He’s got a combination of size and speed that is had to match up against.

      Troy will be far more effective primarily out of the backfield. Use him in the slot here and there. He is just so quick and dynamic. Putting him solely in the slot limits him, imo.

  If Travis was mediocre in many of his practices, it doesn’t say much for the rest of QB prospects we had on hand. SMH
  
  If you look at Whitt’s recent comments on Travis (other thread), he says “Travis won a lot of games for us. We didn’t use him as a TE, but that’s a possibility.” As I’ve suspected they worked with what they had and got the best out of him. They game planned around his weaknesses and focused on things he could do. Despite all the negative comments on this coaching staff and their inability to develop a QB, they really did a good job with what they had in Travis Wilson. The travesty is that they could not recruit something better in the 4 years that Travis Wilson was here, because that bar was not very high at all.

    I think a big problem was that before Travis got here the cupboard was bare. When Jordan Wynn went down Utah was forced to turn to a raw, inexperienced, true freshman QB. After that, Utah’s fate was essentially sealed.
    
    By giving the reins to the Freshman they made it very hard on themselves to not have him start the next 4 years because he was the “incumbent” QB going into spring/fall camp every year. If anyone was going to get the starting job away from TW it was going to be Kendal Thompson, but he just didn’t quite perform well enough to do it.
    
    It was always very unlikely they would allow any of the underclassmen a chance to start over both Wilson and Thompson. We really do not know what we have in Brandon Cox or what we may have had in some of the other QBs that transferred.
    
    Thats why this spring will be so exciting. Despite what the coaches said in the past, we will have a true and open QB battle.

        Personally I don’t think we saw enough from him to say one way or another. It took Travis 3 years before he was able to get his TDS/INTS ratio positive.
        
        I guess we’ll never know.

        If it were then Travis would have been benched his sophomore year and never seen again.
