Not just Freddie. Ludwig has proven an ability to take weapons and create and exploit mismatches. His measurables give Lud a chance to create and exploit even as early as this year. And since he has 3 years left he has the chance to eventually develop into an every down TE ala Dalton. let’s go!!!

I think the point was they do not start in their current teams. That’s how far away we are. Lamenting about players who left who are better than we currently have AND who don’t start on the teams they transferred to who are in the tourney.

Look at the road schedule, then go look
at how we have done against good teams on the road and the glasses will come off. Give me USC’s schedule and I’m with you. Have a few rough home games as well.

Then the PAC is “false” because we have won it 2 years in a row.

He’s better than any QB they have so it is actually a great get for them. I just think it is so hard to p be productive as a QB in todays game when you are not mobile. Unless your WR’s are just that good like his were at USC. For the record, I really like their WR’s. But they are not good enough to dominate the B12.

With built bar and how they presented it in the beginning vs. what it ended up being, I’m pretty sure he is projecting his own experience with his team onto us. He may even be talking about his own team.

It wasn’t just his knee, the weather was bad. DeLaura also had a tough game and weather played a part.

To me when you recruit in the 70’s and expect to be ranked in the top 20, it’s not coaching per say, it’s talent. They recruit a few really good players/ transfers each year but the middle to bottom of their classes is terrible. So at the beginning of the year they look amazing and can compete with those really good players.
As the year goes…[Read more]

Feels to me like it will be the endless cycle. Either the D or the O is too young. So while I believe the D may improve, going to be tough to be better on O with Cam, Tavion, Brant, Dalton gone. Also, need a dominant DT and DE like we almost always have. Who will that be?

Their last two TD drives were gratuitous. The first they failed on third down on their own territory but were bailed out by a targeting call. Looked like the right call but had the defender not dipped his head the drive was over.
The second, on third down Hall threw a pass a little in front like Cam to Enis. Like Solo, the WR tipped it and it…[Read more]

To an extent by the same token a lot of the preseason hype comes from what our offense did to OSU in the Rose bowl. They (OSU) had 5 starters out in that game. ESPN has Florida with 52% chance to win, this game will be tough. I think our experience and not having to learn a new offense and defense (like they do) gives us enough of an edge to get…[Read more]

It’s a two edged sword. Now that we’ve started to play better opponents in bowl games we miraculously go from can’t be beat ever, to losing quite a bit. When we first started PAC play we won like every OOC game but one, even tho we had a losing record in conference. Made our overall season seem better. You can’t schedule those good teams OOC and…[Read more]

You don’t think he is as good as Dalton? He would have a chip on his shoulder for not being on the award list. That kind of thing drives alphas like Brant.
