We’ve got to get Wilson in a situation for some quick hit throws. He holds onto the ball for way too long when given normal developing plays. Either that or the rest of the offense dislikes him and has not intention of working to get open. I’m not sure where the problem lies.

All depends on how the rest of the season goes and NIL money.

Man Pedro it would nice if we came out in some different formations and move Singer and Kuithe around in different spots. If they’re blitzing almost every play tight end 5-10 yrd hook. Swing pass to the back in the flat. QB roll out. If every blitz turns in to a 10 yrd gain they might quit blitzing?

I would like to see us have a plan for when Houston blitzes the $@$@# out of us, because they will. The ball needs to come out of Wilson’s hands much faster. We could use more quick screens (I saw two on Saturday, and they worked pretty well), a reliable “hot route” that the defense hasn’t already taken away, etc. We need a game plan that is…[Read more]

We should have some available NIL money though since we presume Cam isn’t coming back. Might be able to pay some to stay or pick up some new players?

Obviously it is a big concern for Whitt and Scalley. Ludwig is taking a hit for the team by resigning. If we don’t turn things around this week and against BYU things could get pretty ugly.

Tough task to be a OC with limited talent at NW in a league with talented defenses. We should see his value this week in how he makes adjustments and if IW plays better.

@2008 we don’t need to be tOSU or Oregon on O. As you pointed out in another response, we’d be 6-1 if we averaged 25 points. 3 TDs + FG is not a monumental ask. Having said that, I am not sure if this change would lead to wins. Tough to favor us in any of the remaining games.

* More play action on first down. Teams are stacking the box and we run right into them.
* Plays that actually set up other plays. We have been terrible at that.
* Plays that stretch the field, which will open our run game.
* intermediate routes. I’m really tired of having 3rd down and 8 and every receiver is either running a deep route or a…[Read more] -

I thought the line played good against ASU. Bad against AU and TCU. Both had an extra week to prepare for our potent or should I say putrid offense. Name one play in the last three games where the other team got burned for blitzing. If’s hard to block when the other team knows your plays. Same shifts and motion. Defense just stands there when w…[Read more]

I disagree. They gave Wilson time on most plays. But more importantly, TCU blitz a ton. Almost 80% of the time. They had also, obviously scouted out our run scheme and had guys filling the gaps – which is easy to do when you know the play call based on the formation which Lud never waivers from. We could have run double TE’s all game and that…[Read more]

I’m not saying that Ludwig didn’t deserve some of the blame, he definitely did. But when is the last time we had an offensive line that wasn’t pure dog 💩? Do you know what made Huntley and Rising so good? They could escape the pocket and make plays with their feet. Put a pure pocket passer back there and see how he does.
Harding gets so much…[Read more]

I do doubt Whitt will give him free reigns. He’ll still want time of possession and a balanced attack, but hopefully the pass plays, motion, quick routes, etc. will get better to help Isaac get rid of the ball and make quick decisions and the offense will move more. Even under center vs shotgun or going quick paced at points could change things.

Unless you were going to hire Seth Littrell, your only option(s) was(were) internal.

Why this guy? I’ve seen his experience and stat sheet from the past ten years and he’s either equal to or no better than Ludwig. What is Whitt thinking? Hmm, another yes man Whitt can control.
