If Cam is 100%, you ride with him even if you are out of playoff contention. With what we saw last night, if that is what Rising is going forward, yeah you should play the Freshman.

I’d love that “playing loose and having fun” is rarely in the cards for a team with two old stubborn coaches.

Larry, you’re not wrong. Many people have said the same thing when we saw the shape Rising was in last night. There’s literally no upside to playing Rising at the moment. All you’re doing is taking away from Isaac’s development.

Nothing worse than seeing a physically hobbled athlete going against other athletes that are healthy.

Serious question, what’s the point of playing Cam at this point, even if he’s 100% healthy? After the loss last night, our chances of winning the conference are slim to none. I would much rather just ride with Wilson and get him as many reps as possible.

There’s no reason that Scalley should get the job over Hill under normal circumstances. You’d think that the school would want to get the best candidate for the job rather than be shackled to a specific candidate. This especially over such a long period.

All good coordinators and really all good assistants are flight risks. Jay Hill already left Utah after being a longtime assistant.

Ludwig isn’t here because we scored a good one or he’s really that valuable. He’s here because he’s the only OC that can stand to work for Kyle Whittingham for more than 18 months. When one goes so does the other.

You know what’s really dumb, someone saying “that’s a really dumb take” and that’s it.

He’s a good coach, but an overrated one. He has a reputation of doing “more with less” and that has been true in some cases such as beating Oregon twice in 21 and USC twice in 22, but he also does his share of “doing less with more” and dropping games where Utah is the more talented team. 13 of his 19 seasons he’s had at least 4 losses. I agree. It was a dumb decision to make Scalley the coach in waiting. I get him being a serious candidate, but he shouldn’t automatically get the job over Hill or other qualified candidates. These are fair points. But…
1) Kalani Sitake isn’t exactly a great HC. He’s been mediocre at best during his entire BYU tenure. And I’d be surprised if the age factor was that important.
