Larry Scott doesn’t seem to have much power anymore. I figure he gets replaced in two years. I also don’t think some of the schools want to make the conference even tougher. With long travel to the Midwest this just means potential injuries to players.
For USC I kind of feel like they would enjoy having Texas but at the same time enjoy the superstar status in PAC. They definitely don’t fear playing anyone and everyone but I just wonder if they would like the image competition.
I also think BYU to the big 12 is a good thing for the state. It makes BYU accountable to a REAL conference again. It would hurt Utah’s instate recruiting I believe. Especially because Sitake and Whitt have similar circles. Those games we are pretty much forced to play actually mean something rather than playing a withering independent.
