Viewership is going to be a bloodbath this weekend. Here’s the 1:30 MT lineup:
FOX: 22 UCLA at 11 Utah
ABC: 19 Colorado at 10 Oregon
CBS: 15 Ole Miss at 12 Alabama
ESPN: BYU-P at Kansas (including this because it is relevant to the SLC market rating)
Go Utes! Beat UCLA!!!
Is picture in picture still a thing? It sucks that we keep getting lined up with the Prime show.
Going head to head with CU Nebraska killed the Utah Baylor viewership (although that was probably a good thing for Utah’s ranking)
Going head-to-head with CU vs anybody will kill your viewership rating. They’re the highest rated team in the country right now, in terms of viewership.
1. Colo 25.3M
2. Fla St 15.8M
3. Ala 13.6M
4. Neb 13.1M
5. Tex & LSU 12.0M
7. Colo St 9.3M
8. So Car 8.8M
9. Ohio St 8.7M
10. TCU 8.5M
Utah comes in at #24.
Even “average game” ratings favor Colo.
1. Colo St 9.3M
2. Colo 8.4M
3. Ala 6.8M
4. Tex & LSU 6.0M
6. UGa 5.4M
7. Fla St 5.3M
8. USF 4.8M
9. So Car 4.4M
10. Clem 4.4M
Utah comes in at #31.
And UCLA comes in behind Utah in both categories.
I set up a smaller TV next to my bigger one so I can watch 2 games same time. It’s been great. YouTubeTV has an option for 4 at a time, but 1) I don’t have it, 2) It makes them all 1/4 of a screen so kind of small – need Lebron’s setup (9 TVs with 1 main game on 4 and other games on the other 5).
That’s a good tip. What I do is have a laptop and a tablet going, in addition to my TV, so that I can keep an eye on multiple games. It works pretty well for me.
I’ve got a docking station for my laptop and two monitors (for work). Takes about 5 minutes on a Saturday to move everything into the living room and I can watch on the main tv and have other games on the other two monitors, all off of my laptop. I supposed one could do the same thing with 3 larger TV’s as long as you had enough HDMI cable.
I recently switched to YouTube tv and they have a quad screen function built in. I’m in football heaven. Plus I ditched Xfinity and save a bunch.
If, as most believe, Oregon kicks CU in the teeth, their viewership will sink like the Titanic.
Many will switch to our game when Oregon is up by 28
Unless we’re up by 28 too.
I like this line of thinking.
