Our Utes open the final PAC 12 MBB tourney tonight at 9:30 on PAC 12 Network. They play ASU. Carlson is a game time decision after having his arm torn off in a non foul. Utah needs to win at least 2 Tournament games to have any chance of making the NCAA’s. A win tonight probably gets them an invite to the NIT. Good luck and GO UTES!!!!!!!!
Utes should win. ASU is missing Jose Perez, who left the team to go pro and absolutely killed us in the two games he played against us. The Sun Devils are really going to miss the 25 points he averaged against Utah.
Man, the Utes are really looking good in the 1st half but so was Cal in the earlier game. That being said, ASU not having Jose Perez is really, really hurting them. Oh well, I hope that the Utes keep the pedal to the metal and don’t let up on the Sun Devils for one second. Go Utes!
If the Utes beat both of Colorado and Wazzu, then they’re in…they might even be in with just a victory over Colorado. I will say that Utah is fortunate that they’re on the side of the tournament because they can definitely beat both Wazzu and Colorado.
The win tonight does NOTHING for us as far moving the needle (NET and perception). A Colorado win is a Quad 1, but is NOT enough. We need to beat Wazzu to get our NET in the 42-45 with 40 SOS.
