I’m trying to put my finger in the change this year.
Last year I get like the team would eventually to a lead, and Whittingham finally started to keep his foot on their throats, not letting them back in. I thought it was a step forward.
This year we seem to be breaking opponents will early in the game. Obvious combo of a stifling defense with the OC and players to have some deep strikes early. Cal gave up by mid 2nd quarter IMO
Scalley and co are on their game, but I think Ludwig has really brought an additional element that helps beyonds just the points the O is putting up.
Burgess credits Scalley. Saying basically it is like he knows what play is happening. It took one drive for Scalley to pretty much figure it out and then they dominated.
He’s keeping the O on the field with long sustained drives. Jeeps the D really fresh.
