Kick Return Game

Any guesses on who will be the Primary Punt Returner, this year ?  

And how about, the Kick Returners ?  

Based on size and speed, guys like Jaylen Dixon, Money Parks, & Clark Phillips III, & Micah Bernard could be in the mix. Perhaps even Ryan Peppins ….

You know it’s slow as f**k when people are trying to discuss kick returners.

Actually that was a huge part of our success this past season especially when you consider how many points we gave up on special teams.  W\O Covey, that could mean the difference in 4 or so wins.

Agreed, 100%.   A Great Punt / Kick Returner can be a Game Changer! 

I’m interested to see who this will be.

While Covey gave us some spectacular plays in the return game, other parts of our special teams need significant improvement.  I lost track of how many TDs were scored directly off of blocked punts and returns as well as giving up a few short fields.  We very probably could have defeated SDSU and Oregon State without those miscues.

Dixon & Peppins both have speed & wiggle. If they are also best at catching the ball, (job 1), then they’ll definitely be in the mix.

Well we know Dixon is a body catcher which is a bigger “no no” than dropping the ball when you play the slot.  So lets put a pin in that one.
