Thanks to some user input I was able to pinpoint a longtime issue that has slowed down the site when loading topics with replies. I’ve rewritten much of the code for the Like feature. There were some very old and completely inefficient SQL queries in that have now been replaced. Please test! I hope I have accounted for everything and that there are no bugs. I think you’ll find things to be VERY fast now, even on the mobile app!

I’d like to hear from you either way. If you find that it’s improved or if there are bugs or issues LET ME KNOW.

Thank you for operating and keeping this site up and running.

I tested it on the thread about Retzlaff because I figured there were a lot of replies, along with up and down votes. It did load faster. But when I try to scroll down, it crashes. I am using the app and use it on IPhone with the latest software (although there is an update that will be downloaded tonight).

I’ll try out the app thanks! Yes it crashes for me too. Sad face. Interestingly many threads don’t crash it, even long ones. I’ll work on that.

I (hopefully) have found out the issue with the crash, which only happens when there are replies that have many child threads of replies. Unfortunately the fix requires an app update. That’s in process and hopefully will be live soon. I’ll make a post about it.
