My biggest takeaways from the interview. On offense: how tough our offense is to defend under Beck and Dampier. More motion and QB ability to make plays. On defense: excitement for the DEs. Athletic and ability to pressure QB. Pass rush will be a big factor for this season.

To me, far and away the biggest surprise takeaway was the comment about how accurate DD is throwing on the run. It seems like if there’s a knock on him to this point, it’s that he isn’t as accurate as you would like your quarterback to be. If that’s really true, then I think the future is very bright. You don’t draw up plays to throw on the run necessarily, but third down and late game when defenses dial up pressure an improvising quarterback with above average mobility that is accurate throwing on the run brings an X factor.
