USC gave Oregon more of a game than we did it would seem.

Not too surprising with the talent level they have. Their defense has major issues which has cost them games against ranked opponents, but CW playing hero ball can absolutely sow chaos and confusion on even the most disciplined defense. Is it going to blow up in his face from time to time, sure but the times it’s not he is connecting on 40 yard bombs or dumping off to a back or receiver who gets 15 yards because the defense is so out of place.
