I’m perfectly happy to use this year to develop for next year. We weren’t going to win the CCG this year anyway. Going into last year’s Rose Bowl, we all assumed this year would be a rebuilding year.
What I would love to see is Whitt and Ludwig retire. I have NOTHING against either of them. Whitt has known me since before I can remember. He’s…[Read more]

I don’t think that is a realistic explanation. All it takes is telling recruits, yeah… He’s still on the team, but he won’t be playing for at least a year. We had a good offense last year even with the running back clown show. I’m sure there are lots of QBs that would have wanted to play in that system.
There were a lot of transfer QBs this…[Read more]

That also explains why Kyle would be so frustrated about the whole thing in his recent interview… because he just found out the truth and is upset that he wasn’t informed earlier.

I don’t care about downvotes, and I don’t downvote unless someone posts something deliberately offensive or trollish. If I disagree, I comment or leave it alone if I don’t care enough to comment.
There are really only two options here, the one I picked is much more plausible IMO. Either Whitt legitimately thought Cam would be back early this…[Read more]

Whitt was misled in some way, and it lasted long enough that he didn’t go after a transfer QB.
Here is why I think he must have been misled: Whitt has proven over his decades as a coach that he is a trustworthy individual. He wants to win more than just about anything else. If he knew Rising was going to be out as long as he would, he would have…[Read more]

Just blows my mind that a company (or individual) wealthy enough to do this would choose to do it for people that are not in need of such things. There are so many people for whom a reliable car would be life-changing, and NOBODY is willing to help them out because giving to the poor somehow sets a bad precedent, but giving gratuitously to kids…[Read more]

Yes. The government and wealthy people could all do much more than they are to help people.

Why do people have enough money to give a brand-new truck to that many people? SOOOOOO much good could be done with that amount of money.
Not a fan.

If JJ doesn’t get healthy, Glover is going to get run into the ground. He’s gonna get hurt if JJ doesn’t come back.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Isaac Wilson's future at Utah in the forum Football 1 year, 8 months ago
and? It took him a while to separate himself from a rather pathetic pack of QBs. Obviously, we don’t know how he compares to the others because we haven’t seen him play in an actual game. He’s been healthy for weeks now. If he was head and shoulders better than Nate, I think the coaches would have done everything they could to get him up to speed…[Read more]

great story. I really really hope he makes it back to full strength and plays for us again. I’m a sucker for people who keep a good attitude through hard times.

If Rose or Howard had “it” they would have played by now IMO.

You are correct, not sure why I thought he was a post player. However, tge problem is the same. Is he going to get minutes over Madsen, Bajema, exacte and others? It’s possible, but I don’t see it.

If Kuithe isn’t coming back, don’t expect getting Cam back to make us anywhere close to as good offensively as last year. Without Kuithe we don’t have anyone that can reliably get open and catch the football. Vele has always been talked up by the staff, but he’s never been anywhere near as good as a WR1 should be. He isn’t the problem. He’s fine,…[Read more]

I love that BYU fans are focusing their future hopes on Whitt retiring. I especially love that they think our recruiting hinges on Whitt’s presence. Yes, his presence is a plus, but Whitt is much closer to being our worst recruiter than our best. He has a damn good eye for talent, but that has nothing to do with us getting instate recruits over…[Read more]

Unless someone gets hurt, Tarlac won’t be playing much. We have Carlson, the Colorado transfer, Carlson jr, and Keita… When is Tarlac supposed to play?
We don’t have any real stars on this team (BC is close, but not really a star IMO), but we do have quite a bit more depth than previous years. We also have at least 3 guys that can knock down…[Read more]

Utah has been doing a much better job lately of holding onto the instate talent. This kid has the right build to be an excellent safety or linebacker. I guess he was a multi-sport athlete. Seems like the next guy in the Weddle/Hansen/Bishop mold (along with Ritchie hopefully).

I was really happy with recruiting until the turkish kid got dinged with an NCAA violation. He was going to be good IMO.
I would not be super surprised to see this team in the mix for a tourney spot. Last year we were right there until all of our best guys got hurt. This year we have the same best guys, plus quite a bit more depth than last year,…[Read more]

Yes, Whitt screwed the pooch in hanging all his hopes on Rising and Kuithe returning. He should have seen the writing on the wall and moved on from them. I get why he did it, but in hindsight, it was the wrong choice.
HOWEVER, this team is FOUR AND ONE(!) against the best OOC schedule we’ve had in years (if not ever) and two good Pac teams. The…[Read more]
