Not knowing your situation in life maybe this doesn’t apply to you but if another job comes along for me that is willing to pay 6 figure or 7 figures more than the one I have it is probably going to mean I move.

It’s easy if we could just stop talking about a certain team. Go look at how little it came up for the last dozen years.

Spending their money on whatever they want is not the same as denying they are doing it.
It’s not the spending it’s the lying about it.
And unlike going to an overpriced Disneyland they can even be proud of it. Most places are now. They are using it as a selling point (which I’m sure internally they are too) and at best the people who can’t…[Read more]

CityCreekUte replied to the topic New Poll: Predict the 2025 Utah Football win/loss record in the forum Football 1 month ago
I voted 8-4 mostly as an emotional hedge. If this program can’t win 8 games a year in the Big12 I don’t want to follow the team anymore. The last 2 years have been misery beyond anything and with the current state of NCAAFB portal+nil+realignment I’m almost ready to be done anyway.

Until college BB changes significantly it will ONLY be about football for me anymore.

I think the silver lining here is that the short eligibility window will create a sort of ceiling for this kind of crap.

First saw the headline expecting it to be about poor on field performance.
Didn’t know this about his personality.

CityCreekUte replied to the topic 2025 Schedule released…finally in the forum Football 6 months, 1 week ago
Just a huge meh.
More excited about a probably mediocre UCLA than the rest of the schedule.
Can’t hate the relegation conference enough.

One of life’s few absolute truths is that there is no going back.
The NIL/Portal world is upon us.
The rest of it doesn’t matter.

Competition is great if the people judging the competition get the winner right once in awhile

I dunno.. he’s got to work his ass off and prove he’s not a spoiled brat on the one hand while not seemingly he’s making a show of working his ass of and not being a spoiled brat. And on the other that he’s as talented as advertised, which includes overcoming some horrendous play as the year went on and on top of that not be a cancer on the locker…[Read more]

Why is the NFL the most successful professional sports league?
Hard salary caps. Revenue sharing. Scheduling by record.
You’d think other sports would at least try to emulate it.

I think for Huard it is probably a reflection of OC. Otherwise doesn’t make sense

CityCreekUte replied to the topic Comparing Big 12 recruiting classes in the forum Football 8 months, 1 week ago
Very cool. I am trying to read the tea leaves and 14/15 is interesting because that’s where Colorado falls out and they are clearly the most top heavy. I’m amazed that TCU is so high and is all the way up to 24. Although their composite at 24 is over 1 point lower than at 14.
Utah is pretty disappointing to me to be honest. By the time we reach…[Read more]

Also interesting how close Texas and SMU were to winning their new conferences.
Meanwhile the only thing Utah did was maintain our rivalry with USC for the most disappointing new conference showing.

How much does being an ace recruiter vs just an decent one even matter in the NIL+Portal ultimate free agency sweepstakes era even matter.

CityCreekUte replied to the topic Isaac Wilson transfer portal rumor in the forum Football 8 months, 1 week ago
I’ll take the GTFO side.
He’s too small, too slow, and too dimwitted to process the game.
If it was having 0..1 game I’d be willing to give him a chance but how many full game with full weeks of prep did we go where he just sucked.

CityCreekUte replied to the topic Two things I don't understand about the Ute Fan base (at least online) in the forum Football 8 months, 2 weeks ago
I don’t really care one way or the other about Boise St. Given that they are willing to play and get games against blue chip teams I respect them for that.
Harlan is not making the program better. He’s done nothing remarkable. He’s lost ground rather than gained it. Not a fan.

It’s hard for me to see HC at UCLA above OC at OSU for a guy who has coached in the NFL and Oregeon.
