it certainly makes you wonder about the “you’ll become us, we won’t become you” when chances are being extended based on whether the staff thinks you can win games

Randle could always move back and Andrews would be available. It’s not what anyone wants but if Utah has gotten to the point where they need RB6 and RB7 on the depth chart to win games.,,

1 carry and 1 reception while Vanderbilt’s QB1 was throwing for ~ 50% against a G5. I’m almost tempted to go count all the downvotes I got for saying the kid’s future wasn’t at QB long before the 2023 season.

didn’t they just get the TD to go ahead? seems like their plan worked

Scalley has gone away from having his LB’s shoot the gaps so they are making their first contact after the RB/QB has already gained a couple of yards. In theory, it limits the big play but it also limits the game changing hits in the backfield we were used to with Hansen, C. Barton, Bernard, Lloyd and Sewell.
Whether that is a product of…[Read more]

RJ Hubert? Who actually wasn’t that bad, he just couldn’t live up to 4 years of hype while he was rehabbing from multiple injuries. Hubert seemed to get no credit for his great plays – like his pick against SC in the CCG – and vilified for his mistakes.

Barring an injury deluge, there’s really only ever been 4 games to worry about on the schedule: OSU, Arizona, Iowa State and uCF. Split those and you’ve got 10-2. Add in one game where nothing goes right and that’s how I got to 9-3.
If you put me in the patented figure-four leg lock and forced me to make a prediction, I think Utah does no…[Read more]

I think it went a little more towards WSU and OSU not wanting to pay for home games with half empty stadiums but at the end of the day they are doing what was done to them so the reasons don’t really matter.

You mean it wasn’t planned for Gilman to bite on the fake TE block twice so that it could turn in to TD’s? Damn, I thought Scalley had come up something new 🙂

I have no doubt he got a good deal. But you don’t switch from being the starter on a team many are saying is a shoe-in for the playoff to a one year deal unless you think that check is the last one you are going to get.
The chances of his making the league were at least as good if he stayed where he was at as moving on which is why I don’t think…[Read more]

Pac-2 starting off the season 5-1 with a couple of P4 scalps. Good for them although they can’t complain about being done dirty anymore after raiding the MWC.

Ritchie was playing at the end. Did I miss him getting dinged up? Other than when the ref took him out.,, hee-hee
– Davis is a concern.
– Mitchell will probably be a weekly issue like Jackson in 2023.
– Someone said Bernard was just cramping and he came back strong in the 2nd half.
– I don’t remember seeing Pepa
– No clue on…[Read more] -

For me it’s definitely an over-reaction but I said 9-3 months ago and haven’t seen anything to tell me different either way.
If the expectation was that Utah would dominate in all facets in every game, that’s on you. Georgia has been the best team for the last 3 years and their fans are disappointed at least half of the time.
Only advice I can…[Read more]

I can’t speak to how many are quitting but we discussed the logjam at RB and QB ad nauseum a couple of years ago. The QB transfers already happened but that RB room is still overcrowded with kids in essentially the same class.
The Tavion situation was bad enough that Bernard entered the portal and kicked the tires on playing for Deion before…[Read more]

90% of my posts need to have an implied passive-aggressive smiley at the end. I was just making fun of the “if such and such happened differently the outcome would have been exactly what I wanted to happen.,,” trope, not you specifically. Unfortunately I’m not smart enough to make the posts not sound like I’m arguing

I’m on the same page but feel like it’s a mutual decision. Mitchell and Stanley have passed him up, there’s probably still bad feelings about the way the Tavion situation was handled (wasn’t Glover the one Thomas punched at practice?), and both sides have decided to part ways.
