  First time I have seen anything by these guys, but how they explained their model and the Utah v. ASU comparison made sense to me.

  I don’t think much of models generally, but it helped me understand some relative strengths and weaknesses between the teams.

    ASU pass defense is mediocre – run defense is good not great. They only typically hold teams to about their average passing performance, which when including the early FBS games, is not very good. Utah outperforms on both.
    
    They look at how that impacts per play performance, adjust for pass run mix, and plays per point and predict a score. They have Utah 30 ASU 17.
