I’m in Vegas for a few days. Nice and cool down here, about 114F. Found a couple of bets on the Utes I could do. The Utes are currently 12/1 for winning the Pac-12 championship. I’m tempted to put $50 or $100 down on that, though I’d heard it was as high as 14/1. They also have betting open for the byu game. Utes are favored by 7.5. That’s real tempting.
Definitely worth putting 1/2 a c-note down on the 12/1. I’d do that one. I usually stay away from the BYU game… Whitt refuses to keep the gas pedal down on that game so it always ends up being closer than it has to. I do think we’re about 2 touchdowns better in that game, but we could literally be up by 7 and kneel on the 1-yard line to end the game, which would screw you over on that bet…
Big yes on the byu game, put me down for $100.00
Mortgage payment on Utah to cover against BYU.
Whit doesn’t lose that game and he enjoys putting BYU fans players and coaches in their place.
Are there odds on another pandemic stopping the season?
It’s a wild time to be alive, folks.
I’d def take $100 at 12/1 for the Utes. As for the BYU game, I wouldn’t touch that with a ten-foot pole. While I think it likely the Utes will win by 14 or whatever, there have been too many games where Utah should have blown them out only for it to end up close.
The issue we face every season with this game is familiarity. Their head coach was Whitt’s right hand for cripesake.
Here in beautiful Indiana sportsbook apps are legal. So far I have Utah over 8.5 wins on the season at -125, and TDS under 6.5 wins at -113.
For the opener, 7.5 points gives me a little pause in the “rivalry” game but I honestly can’t name any players not named Nacua on their team. Not sure where the offense is going to come from, they were a 1 trick pony last year (the trick was playing really bad teams).
Sorry–I’m a novice when it comes to sportsbook apps. Rookie question: what does the -125 and the -113 refer to?
You have to wager $1.25 to win $1 on the first scenario and $1.13 to win $1 on the second scenario.
Still surprised at all the thumbs down I got for criticizing the anti-sports betting laws in the state of Utah
I was in Vegas earlier this month and found Utah at 200/1 to win the national title. I put a crisp, clean $50 on the Utes and will pick up a check for $10,050 the day after we beat Bama (or Ohio State or Clemson) in the title game next January!
I like your optimism.
