Our p**s poor offensive line. I made a post after the Weber game that I was really worried about what we were going to do when it’s 3rd and 4 and we need to get a first down to keep a drive going. And those fears were realized last night when we only ran 54 plays because we couldnt convert a 3rd down to save our lives. I thought Brewer looked fine when he had time but those times were few and far because our line was so bad.

The 2nd thing that caught us all by surprise was our defensive line getting abused. I haven’t seen us like that since the Rice game back in the 90’s. I’ve never seen a team go on several long drives against us like BYU did last night. They looked completely overmatched

the 3rd thing that killed us was losing the turnover battle 0-2. We were lucky to only give up 3 points. I kept waiting for BYU to make a mistake and they never did  I guess when you just keep running the ball down our throats, the chances of making a mistake go way down

All in all, it was a horrible game and we played as bad as I’ve seen us play in a while. I’m mostly upset at how the players didn’t seem to care. My guess is we lose big next week to SDSU and probably win 5-or 6 games this year.   It’s going to take me a few days to get over this.

I’ll always cheer for the Utes but last night sucked and the worst part of seeing our team get beat by players that seemed to want it more than us

I was worried the second I watched the team run onto the field. Night and day difference from BYU. They were AMPED and Utah came out flat and uninspired. Completely uncharacteristic of a Whitt team to do that.

Turn over battle was 0-3. That turnover on downs counts, and proved to be huge.
