HONOLULU – The University of Utah women’s basketball team earned its fifth win of the season on the second day of the Rainbow Wahine Showdown after defeating Hawaii 73-57.
Utah was led in scoring by Brynna Maxwell as she scored 23 points in the win. She was 8-of-15 from the floor, including 5-of-9 from threes. Dru Gylten led the Utes with seven rebounds and five assists.
Utah returns to action today, when they play Eastern Illinois in its final game of the Rainbow Wahine Showdown. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. MT. The game will be aired on 105.5 KOOL FM.
