I was able to hit the RB with my Honey…wow! Other than the loss, the trip was amazing. Beautiful weather, amazing setting, Ute fans everywhere. Walked up the hill to the Rose Parade with a couple of long time tOSU fans who’ve been to a bunch of these games. They were very complimentary of Utah and happy to see a new up and coming team growing into a powerhouse. Met some awesome Ute fans in the fan zone. The overall experience was top shelf.
Next stop, Gainsville. Utes go into this one focused and confident with a solid team. Gurantee millions of eyes will be on the Florida game. The Rose Bowl experience prepares Utah very well going into the Swamp. Utes in a good spot to take charge in the P12. Transfer portal is going to be very interesting for Utah in the off season.
Utes should fill depth holes on defense through the portal. No D1 team at Utah’s level should ever go into a big time bowl game playing one of their RBs at CB. Bernard balled out, gets my vote for big heart player of the game, kid is a true Ute. Freshman or not, the young CB guys that could not step up with over three weeks to prepare and fill that role should be advised to enter the transfer portal especially if on scholarship. Transfer portal should help fix some of the deficiencies for Utah.
Excited to see how Utah builds off the Rose Bowl exposure and success. Ute program is on the rise!
