Interestingly, I seem to recall when ESPN put out their preseason “Power” poll, the zoobs were jeering at Utah because we weren’t in it. Oregon came in at #8, USC at #13, Washington at #19, and Arizona St at #25. But what the zoobs focused on the most was how a pair of Sun Belt teams (#22 CCU and #23 ULL) were ranked, whereas we were not. And nevermind the fact that the zoobs weren’t ranked in that poll either, because “hypocrisy” has long been a major part of their “tradition” and “brand”. Well now that the dust had settled, Utah wound up not only being ranked, but ranked in the Top-10, and not behind ybU-p or anyone in the Sun Belt. ybU-p on the other hand, found themselves ranked behind ULL. And that struck me funny.
