  4 star LB Jamal Anderson, whose dad is former Utah great RB Jamal Anderson, is set to announce commitment around 11 am today. His top two are Utah and Clemson. 247 crystal balls point to Clemson, but here’s to hoping they’re all proved wrong.

    Saddened to know that Utah doesn’t have any richie rich alumni sports supporters. Considering that the current prophet of the mainstream Latter-day Saint church is an alumnus, you’d think he’d be able to tap that dollar pipeline a bit, no?

        I have no information for you on the topic. I asked the question because I can’t think of any other income that they have that doesn’t come directly or indirectly from tithing. What do they use instead?

        I know you’re just trolling but I’ll bite. Jazz owner Ryan Smith is a huge zoob and has already paid a player to play for their basketball team. There’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll continue to use his money to pay recruits.

        I am not trolling. My blunt style offends normals. Thank you for the input. I was unaware that BYU athletics does not receive funds from the mainstream LDS church. Do they pay rent to the church to use the property?

        The church of jesus christ of latter day saints does not fund any BYU atheltics. They are all kept afloat by donations and the money they get through TV deals and Bowl Games.
        
        I know that Dystopia wont care what anyone says he is as close as a biggot as you can get and he is very biased and probably and old man. You cant teach an old dog new tricks.

        You’re sure about that? They keep all their finances private. The tuition is low due to LDS church subsidies so everyone benefits from LDS church money, including the athletic department who reimburse the subsidized rate of tuition. That is just one example.

        Last I heard they were prepared to pay their football players a salary. Not sure that’s legal with NCAA, so they might cast it as an NIL to promote their church. Isn’t that their justification for supporting their athletic program (coaches’ salaries and facilities), particularly as an independent without access to Power-5-level conference money?

        They are only insults if you let them offend. If not then its jsut my opinion. I would be happy if it affected you in such a way however.
