      Fellow college sports fans,

For all the complainers, deniers, ticked off’ers, and old timers, …Memo …. you’re just goin have to get onboard the ‘NIL Train’ if you want to continue to enjoy the entertainment of your Utes… just that simple. The game has changed! The kids who play the game haven’t, but the rules have. That’s all. The real problem, though, is US … not them. They’re just taking advantage of the rules, just like you and I would if we were in their shoes. You wouldn’t turn down money if offered you, and neither would I.

And for the record, they’re no longer amateurs; they’re professionals. Period. We didn’t grow up that way. But, it’s ok. That’s not to say or mean, it’s good or bad … it’s just the way it is. NIL is just code talk for paying someone, in this case college athletes. You know that. And, furthermore, the teams they play on are professional teams. Yup. Our Utes are sponsoring and fielding minor league teams now. So what!

So fellas, enjoy the ride. And, Go Utes!

I don’t mind the change so much, it’s not where it’ll end up. I think it’s fairly clear the level of underhanded BS going on now looks really similar to what was going on before the NIL even existed. The difference is now the cash cows are allowed to be openly dissatisfied about how the money is used, because they now they legally contribute it. For that reason alone I predict change.

But honestly I’m more dissatisfied with the absolute length of a football game recently. I feel like they didn’t used to last 3/4 of the day. That’s a change I can’t get behind.

      Strange topic, but ok.

I think most fans on this board aren’t against NIL. Most are on board.

It’s the rules or lack thereof where some fans are starting to get tired, combined with transfer portal and the lack of enforcement of any rules, which honestly college has always had a tough time with.
