Painful. Utah should have beat this ASU team. All CU is doing is committing to the run eating up clock, very occasional pass, nothing fancy or cute whatsoever and they are up 10-0 on ASU in Tempe. Utah could’ve done this with Moss.
I guess it just shows how ‘green’ Troy Taylor is. Moss has his best game ever (up to that point) against USC and you would figure ASU was going to get a lot of Moss but you can also add in that Huntley started, a week too soon imo, and that’s where Taylor wanted to go back? Live and learn right.
part of the problem is that so many of Taylor’s ‘run’ calls are actually read options and RPO’s that Moss doesn’t end up with the ball that much. We really need a bread and butter running play that always goes for 3-5 that the defense has to respect
Oregon got a good deal stealing CU’s defensive coordinator. Oregon has pretty much the same personnel as last year yet they are doing much better on defense.
Bummed CU couldn’t pull it off, ASU is my most hated pac 12 member. Boo.
