The Academic Progress Rate (APR) is a term-by-term measure of eligibility and retention for Division I student-athletes that was developed as an early indicator of eventual graduation rates. College athletic programs have to maintain a minimum 930 or they will face penalties. 1000 is highest possible score. Utah football had a single year score of 1000. Also, Utah athletics as a whole averaged a multi-year score of 985.
