I think you’re getting confused by the points here. I never claimed BYU wasn’t the better positioned program pre-Pac-12 move. In fact, I’ve consistently said that despite Utah improving head-to-head vs BYU in the 90s, the Cougars were still the more nationally relevant program. I have in laws from the Folsom CA area (All Y Fans) and they went to some musical group performance for kids and teens and snuck a video of Ryder Lyons in an open leather vest singing “Lock them doors and turn the lights down low”. Its seriously my least favorite thing about being a Ute fan. I don’t care if you love the LDS church, hate them, or somewhere in the middle, we as a fan base have them all.
