  Awesome. When I was a kid just starting to go to games that whole thing wasn’t there. It was just grass. We played football there during the game. Sometimes our ball would go out on the field. It was no big deal.

    Good news, the article I read has that it’ll be complete by the beginning of 2021 football season.

  It looks like they’ve taken 1/2 of the Clark Building down already. 5 weeks of demolition still seems a bit overstated to me but I’m obviously missing something.

    Thanks for the link! IMO, 5 weeks seems pretty reasonable especially the below grade footings, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some post tension concrete in there somewhere that makes it more complicated. If you demolish it incorrectly, rebar in the concrete can become lethal when its integrity snaps.

      Thanks for the insight. Admittedly, I know nothing about the demolition process. I was just seeing more than 1/2 the building gone in only 3 days time and thinking to myself that they’d have the demolition wrapped up by next week.
