Been waiting a long time to say that.
That’s what she said.
“If you weren’t wet were you really there”?
Second coldest game for me. 1st was the 3-0 beat down we put on the team down south in 2003.
I’ve never been colder in Rice Eccles than in February 2002.
That TCU 2008 game was cold to start but by the end I didn’t care.
It never let up but I wasn’t phased. There was a UNLV (I think) game around 05 that was wet, windy, and bitter cold. Maybe it was just too poor in my MUSS days to afford decent rain gear.
Was it just me or did that third quarter last forever?
I was nice and dry at home it took forever. Utah’s offense was dead in the water.
Those were miserable conditions in that game; but I was so well prepared with several layers of ski gear, that I just sat, warm, enjoying every minute of it.
Well played Tony.
I could never find the good ponchos today, just the cheapos Harmon’s had. They were quite insufficient.
They are basically glorified garbage bags. I feel your pain. My buddy was lucky enough to score one of the fleece lined ones from Costco a while back. I was super jealous tonight. He only breaks it out once a year maybe but damn if it doesn’t make days like today much more tolerable. I wish they’d bring them back, I’d buy one in a heartbeat.
Was it 10-12 years ago we played USU at the end of September…game started with heavy rain then turned to snow at halftime. That may not have been technically the wettest game (I bought a stupid amount of weather gear after that) but it was probably the worst combo of wet-cold I’ve ever sat through.
