I’ve seen this topic touched on briefly on this board, and I apologize in advance if it was fully discussed and I missed it, but:
If someone knows the whole story, would you please respond recounting how an apparent significant talent, who I understand always wanted to be a Ute, was not offered a scholarship at the U and ended up attending BYU…[Read more]

He seems to be making progress with Buffalo, but isn’t he a Hurley protege? If so, and if he is anything like Hurley, I want nothing to do with him. If not, bring him on, what have we got to lose?

  • Good second half adjustments, for Oregon.

  • …. stuff Walton’s mouth full to the brim with munchies, and shut him the (*&^ up?

I’m always on here bitching about Coach K, mostly because of his inability to make the NCAA tournament in the last three years, after seemingly being on a fabulous trajectory the previous 3 years.
I’ve also complained bitterly about he and his coaching staff not being able to out-coach Altman.
I love what I’ve seen from this team and from the…[Read more]

  •  …Number of teams by conference expected into the NCAA tournament.  This is embarrassing.  With the turmoil at Arizona and UCLA, those two (historical Blueblood) teams are not likely to be lifting the reputation of the league next year.  Washington, and ASU should be at least as good next year, Oregon will improve.  I hope/expect Utah to…[Read more]

  • Sorry, hate to complain about the “facts” in this article, but Utah’s numbers are obviously wrong, and after having a cursory glance at a few others, I don’t know what to believe.

Using the attendance and ejections per 1000 numbers, Utah’s ejections are off by about 10%, Badgers are off by an order of magnitude, and several others are off by a…[Read more]

  • Then why start out with the premise that we’re griping? We all get that he exceeds (very low) expectations (in a very bad PAC12 conference year), I just comment because exceeding very low expectations, is not what I expect from a UofU Basketball coach!

Rather, let’s see if we can recruit well enough, and retain talent well enough, coach the whole…[Read more]

  • Larry clearly seems to get the best out of his team, every year, compared to the expectations of the media, in the preseason.

If he were recruiting and retaining talent well enough to have the media expecting a top 4 finish year over year, I’d be thrilled. And if he were then finishing ahead of those projections, I would consider his…[Read more]

  • Hoping we show up ready for a team that may have decided to quit on the season, but will probably remember the dramitic comeback we pulled off against them a few weeks ago, and be highly motivated.
A win would be really nice – this would be the first sweep of a two team home stand in conference.
    Go Utes!

  • I am no expert on this topic, but base my comments on what I see…

I have several friends who praise coach Holliday for the progress he has made with the receiver corp.  In particular, they point to the increase in star ratings of the recruits since he has been at Utah.  They are right, however, my frustration is that his group, other than…[Read more]

I’ve publicly, on this site, complained, repeatedly about these two.  I’m here now, to apologize.

They were the players of the game this evening, and I want to congratulate them for their performance.

In the PVD case, we may have a significant weapon for the remainder of his senior year.  More importantly, in the Johnson case, I HOPE, that his…[Read more]

  • Utah being outplayed and out coached, again!  Shhhheeeeesh!!!
crowd thinks it’s the refs fault, NOT

  • I tried to hit the thumbs up on my phone but accidentally got the thumbs down. To be clear, I whole-heartedly endorse that account removal.

Wife and I will be there, leaving Sunday morning – can’t wait!

We are going to the Alumni tailgate, others?

  • … I cannot tell you how happy I am that I did not purchase airfare and stubhub tickets before seeing what this team is like.  The last thing I ever want to witness in person is a Runnin’ Utes team play Kentucky with no possibility of winning, and more likely to quit.
The recruiting class next year appears to be very good, and I was expecting…[Read more]

Mark Harlan lives in my neighboorhood, and i’ll tell him this personally when I see him, but I wil never again purchase away game tickets or bowl tickets through the University.  If I’m makeing the effort and spending the money to go to the game, i am going to chose seats that I’ll be happy with.

We REALLY missed on the current QB class.  Tuttle, if the coaches are to be beleived, could not beat out Tyler Huntley, nor Jason Shelley, but kept us from offering a kid who really wanted to be a Ute,…[Read more]
