Offensive Season Wish List

My offensive wish list for year (in order of importance…I think)
1. Dampier
a. Needs to be at least 2 TDs to 1 Int
b. 70% + completion
c. not be our leading rusher
2. Running Game
a. 150 yards per game
b. Find a guy or guys that can be consistent so teams have to commit to stopping the run.
3. Offensive Line be Dominant (most likely on this whole list) but needs to happen.
a. Low number of hurries/sacks for Dampier so he can have time to throw. It looks like he was running for his life half the season last year.
b. Dictate how the game is played every game.
4. Receivers (lately Utah football hasn’t had this but I can dream right???)
a. Can we finally have a decent receiver core?

I want our team to be far less offensive this year. To do that, they need to actually generate offense and score 35 to 45 a game. 23 a game is not going to cut it.

Because of Oline, Dampier and Beck I am actually highly optimistic that our offense will average above the requisite 32ppg. Because of peaks and valleys I don’t know if that gets us to Big 12 championship game, but we’ll be in the mix at the end.

I also think we will start fast or relatively fast. For the same reasons above, Dampier’s command of the offense and it being more run heavy I think we’ll run all over UCLA and cruise to TTech game 4.
