Wait until the TDS fans see this. There will be hell to pay for weeks. I pity the publication.

Just great. Another dick measuring contest the zoobs can freak out over.

Thank goodness it’s coming from the Athletic and not SI. I was worried when I followed the link. Can’t trust SI with anything

Impossible… with all of the billionaire TDS NIL-checkwriters? Surely TDS needs to be at the top of the list

A lot of it is based on past revenue and because the zoobs were independent and then not a full share they are low on the list. They should jump up per the valuation in the next three years. I don’t think it means it’s an accurate representation though haha these are just talking heads talking

This is aligned somewhat with a ranking published earlier this year in the Wall Street Journal on what each team would be worth if it could be sold in the open market. Out of 131 total teams, Utah ranked 28th with a worth of $425 million. Ohio State was the top team with a worth of $1.96 billion. TDS’s projected value ranked 35th.

This analysis was put together by a professor at Indiana University. Here is how compiled it:
“Brewer looks at top-line revenues, growth and drivers of cash flow and makes projections about the sustainability of the operation, just as he would with any other business. It isn’t a mere one-year snapshot, either—he combed through years of data for 131 major college football programs, from the heavyweights all the way down to Louisiana-Monroe. Then, after breaking down everything from television viewership to trends in enrollment, his spreadsheet finally spits out an answer”.

Further proof that the zoob narrative of Utah being a “poverty program” is complete nonsense.

      Football team worth
