Huntley’s progression under Ludwig: “Really good. He’s been outstanding all throughout fall camp, and he’s soaking up everything Andy has to say. The skill set that Tyler has lines up with what Andy wants to do with him. It’s a great fit.”
Confidence in the kickers: “Andrew Strauch looked really good in practice. You never truly know until you get in a game situation. Ben Lennon has done a nice job punting.. As we’ve said, big shoes to fill. We had two great ones. Going into the season, we feel like we’re in a pretty good spot.”
Linebackers: “Sione Lund has made a great deal of progress, as has Trennan Carlson, who joined us this fall. So we’ve got four guys we feel very good about [Bernard, Lloyd, Lund, Carlson].
Area you’re most curious about: “Curious… probably offensive line. See how they come together and function as a unit. We’ve always prided ourselves on being a physical team that can run the football. In order to do that, you’ve gotta knock people off the ball. So we’ll see what happens. They’ve got a big challenge this week — that’s a stout defense they’re going against.
On Lee Corso’s Alabama-Utah NC game prediction: “Lee Corso did? Well good for Lee. Seems most of the time when he’s gotta choose us or the opponent, he doesn’t choose us. So maybe he’s had a change of heart. Thanks Lee, appreciate ya.”
