If you call what we saw in pass pro “working around” injuries… and make it seem like we did a good job of that, I don’t know what to tell you. Our pass blocking has been an aberration for a few years now.

Basically doesn’t sound promising. I’m just tired of the excuses. Every year the other position groups have their poop in a group by halfway through fall camp… every year the offensive line has some excuse regarding why they aren’t quite ready yet. If they already knew who the 5 are, he wouldn’t be making excuses to the media.
I’d buy the excuses…[Read more]

Still haven’t found 5 guys that work together. Absolutely wonderful news, and TOTALLY shocking as well as unprecedented.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic One old man's grades on our position groups in the forum Football 3 years, 11 months ago
Actually it doesn’t. Not if you actually do the math. 1st team all pac12 guys are a solid 95 A in my conservative estimation. Let’s be super safe and assume our punter (who Whitt seems to think is at least better than Lennon who wasn’t a total failure) is a 70 C-. That puts the unit at an 86%, a solid B, and that’s being conservative.

Did you see anything at all last year? How much better can our kicker be? Did he even miss last year?

disagree… Harding was a good hire, and is a solid coach. Whitt is justified in keeping him this long, if he underperforms again, and stays on staff, then it’s on Whitt. Not until then IMO.

Harding is a decent offensive line coach, but he is clearly the worst recruiter of all the position group coaches. I keep hearing that we have more talent than ever at that position group, and that it just needs time to get coached up, but it’s still the least talented position group we have (outside of WR maybe, and Bumphis seems to be changing…[Read more]

One bad scrimmage doesn’t mean he’s doomed to fail…
but one of those picks was by Guidry, which is awesomeness.

It’s either the Pac12 is weak, Whitt likes leather pants, Ute fans being criminals, stadium smack (despite the fact that LES is a dump, and long overdue for a renovation), or QB smack… even though Alex Smith, who they often mock, was more successful as an NFL QB on ONE LEG then any of their QBs since Steve Young, who retired in 1999.

She is an incredibly influential person of color. When she speaks, people take notice. Millions of little girls around the world are seeing what she has done, and what she is doing now. They see her and are being shown by her that it’s okay to struggle sometimes. It’s okay to do what is best for you despite ridiculous expectations.

Hurt pro leagues, the nfl in particular? My initial thought are that all the best players going to a handful of teams, and the rest fizzling out means far less developed talent, and less talent overall making it to the NFL. If the player pool to choose from diminishes, then the number of quality players goes down, thus hurting the NFL, which will…[Read more]

I read that an Alabama QB has already locked up a million or so in endorsement deals. I also heard about kids still in high school that are now raking in endorsement deals. The fact that the NCAA had the power to keep these kids from making life changing money so early in life is absolutely ridiculous.
I know some will argue that if the kids…[Read more]

I’m confused how you are getting this from what the OP posted. 20 school merger involving big12 and pac12 would include all pac12 teams. The big12 will be left with 8 schools. 8+12=20. Utah is fine in this scenario.
Either way, I think you are wrong. The 8 schools left in the big12 will be TT, TCU, Bay, Kan, Kst, Okst, Iowst, WVU… Which of…[Read more]

Again we have reading comprehension issues. I’m talking about this staff. The staff that is now coaching. Travis was coached and recruited by a completely different offensive staff.
Also, I didn’t say a decade. I said NEARLY a decade. Huntley was recruited in 2015, class of 16. 16,17,18,19,20,21,22 (the current class). I said 7 years
